Start washing hunting clothes in scent-free laundry soap two weeks before opening day. Store clean gear in an airtight container or ozone generator closet. Shower with scent-free soap the morning of each hunt, and apply scent-eliminating spray on boots and clothes at your truck, not at home.
Apply cover scent right when you reach your stand location, not on the walk in. A fresh cover scent works for two to four hours in the deer woods, so timing the application to the peak of the morning hunt or evening sit gives the maximum window of effective coverage.
