The Hurricane Cup Series was created to encourage archers to compete in the many different disciplines (bowhunter/fixed pins, recurve, barebow, traditional, compound/open,) archery has to offer.

There are four separate tournaments held throughout the year that will decide the overall champions of the series.

Equipment rules

Equipment rules shall follow the rules of USA Archery

• Olympic Recurve
• Compound
• Fixed Pins
• Barebow
• Traditional

 

Age Classification

Age classes will be determined by the age of the archer as of December 31st of the calendar year. All divisions will be separated by gender.

• Sunshine Seniors: 50+
• Adult: 21-49
• Seniors: 16-20
• Juniors: 10-15
• 9 and younger – 10 yard wall

 

Tournament Format

There will be two archery disciplines shot over the course of the four tournaments. You must shoot at least one of each discipline to qualify for the rankings. For details on individual competitions see below.
All indoor tournaments will include a 60-arrow qualification round. There will be no eliminations. Ties will be resolved by a 1 arrow shoot off closest to center wins.                      We will be following USAA Scoring Rules.

There will be a Para division for all paras!

 

USAA Indoor Triangle Round
This will be 2 rounds for a total of USAA 60-arrow indoor This round will follow USAA indoor round rules. All divisions will shoot from 18 m and have the choice of a 40 cm single spot or 40cm triangle 3-spot. Yeoman will shoot 9m.

 

USAA Indoor Round
This will be 2 rounds for a total of USAA 60-arrow indoor This round will follow USAA indoor round rules. All divisions will shoot from 18 m and have the choice of a 40 cm single spot or vertical 3-spot. Yeoman will shoot 9m.

 

NFAA Indoor Round & Tampa Rumble Rounds
This round will be a 60-arrow qualification round following NFAA rules. Age division:

• Archers shoot 12 ends of 5 arrows at 20 yards (10yrds for Peewee) on a 40 cm 5-spot target
• Archers have four minutes to complete each end
• Archers can also shoot on a 40 cm single-spot target

No arrows larger than 23’s.
Max draw weight no greater then 60 Lbs.
